I woke up this morning and this is what my roosters toe look like. I'm not sure if it's frostbite or an injury but he was fine yesterday. I soaked it in Epsom salts and put the vetarycin and Neosporin on it. I have him separated from his girls. Any other ideas?

I'm going to guess. Because your photo is next to useless. It might work better to repost it and select full size image. Or better, take a new photo.

What it looks like is extreme tissue damage that has progressed many weeks to the point of auto-amputation. The blackened toe will fall off within the next several days.

It looks like another toe tip is going the way of this one.

Tip. (And I mean this in a helpful way.) When taking a photo to show us details of something, do not use a background that competes with the subject. Look at your photo. Can you easily see the toes against that background? Next time, try taking a little more time to make a good photo that anyone can easily see what it is you are wanting us to see. Take ten photos and pick the best one instead of shooting a pic and posting it without really looking at it.

That is the most disrespectful, condescending, and downright unhelpful reply I have ever heard. Here's a tip: ( And I mean this in a helpful way) when someone asks you for your advice, you shouldnt belittle and try to humiliate them in a way that will prevent their asking for help again. We are all here because we love chickens and wish to enlarge our knowledge of them. I don't know if you had parents growing up (evidently not) but mine used to say: "If you don't have anything nice to say, then remain silent." Perhaps, azygous, its better if you remain silent.

Azygous is on here everyday answering people's questions and pleas for help. Yes, azygous can be a little short, even rude, when the OP hasn't given sufficient information. It is not his/her best quality. However this one shortcoming does begin to overshadow azygous's much needed combination of knowledge of chickens and dedication to helping people on BYC. We really do not want azygous to remain silent, and if you tried responding every day for years to people's queries you might also get frustrated by the blurry pictures and lack of information that often accompany a cry for help.

As for the foot it looks to me like something might have gotten wrapped around his toe, cutting off blood supply and strangling it. Clearer photos from multiple angles would be helpful.
