Sometimes they do that as a 1st time mom or it may have been because of the fridgid weather we have been having. Thats all I go for you as that is what I have been reading on rabbit groups this winter there has been a lot of this happening.

well it was in late fall so it was pretty chilly out

I just lost a litter at 3 days old-I'm pretty sure they got uncovered from fur and froze. Poor little dears

yes research all you can before breeding that will help i know before i got my rabbits i did a search on the net all about breeding and raising rabbits ive saved most and go back all the time to read the articles again. Plus ive got forums i go to to ask for help or more info on different stuff.
My 2nd time nzw mom killed all her babys but 3 then at 2 wk the runt was dead in the nestbox im guessing she jumped on it though it had some bad cuts on his legs when he was born.
