My female turkeys keep breaking eggs

I have two female turkeys both laying eggs and sitting on there eggs , every other morning we come outside to see one of them has broken one or two of the eggs , is it normal for females turkeys to break eachothers eggs? Should they be separated?

Are they sharing a nest? Are they really broody and constantly sitting on the nest and or nests? Are they still laying eggs regular?

They have separate nest they are laying eggs regularly and they are constantly sitting in the nests , when we take the eggs away they cry all day. They don’t seem to be really broody but still laying on the eggs

They usually stop laying once they have built a clutch of eggs and then begin sit. They could be trying to eat each other’s eggs or the eggs have thin shells and they are breaking them getting on and off the nest. Or they are trying steal eggs.

Separating them would give you an idea if they are doing it to the eggs themselves.
