my females are missing and im new at this.

Well know we know. Today I seen the neighbors ( about 5 places up across road) Husky running through the yard with a duck in its mouth. Two of the three missing are on their pond. Will try late eve to get them to come to me. I'm gonna take Chatty( my loud mouth female) with me in a cage. The dog has killed one of them but that's better than the 4 counting today's he's taken off with. Will post how well the gathering goes later. Thanks all.

Wow That's too bad the dog got it, so sorry I hope you can get the rest home before they end up in it's mouth. Whos' dog any idea?

Well the two on the water wouldn't come home. BOO HOO. They are on a pond with lots of cover for hiding. Yes it's the neighbors dog. He said he would keep it up until he got the special fence back up . The dog has lab and something else in it and he said hunting is what it does. Says he thought our ducks were wild ducks. Yea right. You went and picked it up and took the "wild" duck in you hands down to the pond. GEEZ OH PETE... Hopefully our duck quandary is over. I just love my ducks. Oh and I have 3 young peacocks. My peahen died. Will have to get females in spring.

Hope you have a good secure fence around your flock with this dog and other preds running lose.

That sounds like your neighbour had abducted your birds to let his dog have its fun

That is just sad...I'm glad that my neighbours make sure that their German shepherd can't leave their property.

You might have to use something like a dip net with a long pole to get your ducks out of the pond. As long as the dog and people are around they might decide to stay on or close to the pond.
