So this morning I go out to do the duck chores and my fiesty little guys decides that when I walk away he needs to charge me. When I turn around he stops in his tracks. Well a few minutes later he does the same thing then nips my ankles. The final time he grabbed a fold of skin on my ankle and I had to tap his beak to get him to let go. So then I picked him up and had a chat. He stopped for the moment.

This weekend was the first time we saw him mating with the three girls. I'm thinking this is part of his mating behavior and maybe he thinks I'm part of his flock for some reason. Keep in mind that he's about 3 months old.

there have been a lot of post on here latley about this issue. upside is your not alone

i had a drake that samething right after he started mating. not only would he get us if we didnt watch him but he loved chasing down my dog!
i did trick my neighbors into beleaving that i taught him Red light Green light and that was a lot of fun watching their faces i had them going to a few hrs then felt guilty:lau

Actually I think it is more like you are a rival for his authority.
