My First Adventure With a Broody Hen

Found two more babes this morning!! So far I have three. I took out an egg that was super dirty, and it exploded!! So glad i got it out of the coop first. Half of a chick and the smelliest goo I have ever encountered came out. Saw baby number 1 eating and drinking with mama this morning. The other two must have hatched around dawn cause they were still wet. I still have to clean eggs under her. I will give them until tomorrow.

So far she has been such a good mom. What an awesome experience. Ill try for pics later today.

Finally got a few pics of the babes! Final count 3. Ideal for me. They are so cute! Fluffy left for a poop earleir so I snapped a couple crappy pics. They were scared and peeped and she came running. AWwwWWwW
