My first Blue egg!

Laid by Big Red at 24 weeks. It's a little bumpy and has some spots. It looks kinda green in the pic but really is blue... iPhone cameras aren't the best.

very pretty, we also just started getting green/blue/pink eggs from our EE, and I love it, like a treat to collect eggs every time! Congrats to you!

What kind of chicken layed that egg? It's very pretty. I've been thinking about getting getting a few hens that lay colored eggs.

Question: When EE's lay are they all the same color? Mine has started laying green eggs.... and yes everyone has to ask me if I have ham!!!!

My understanding once an EE starts to lay it lays essentially the same color eggs from then on out. We have 23 EE pullets, only 6-7 are laying that we can tell, two lay Olive colored eggs, 1 lays pink eggs, the rest vary on the blue green spectrum.
