I have been reading posts the last few days and checking out super cute pictures of broody mommas with their chicks... and now my buff orp is broody!! I think she has about 10-12 eggs under her... a mix of everyone's. I don't plan to keep the crosses, just the full buffs. My question is... Can I get some full buffs from the others and stick them under her? Do they have a concept of time? Are they usually successful and taking care of chicks themselves or should I brood them? Can I start full buffs in my incubator and then just switch out the chicks? Wow-- didn't realize I had so many questions!!
