Well Charlotte went back to laying last week and 4 out of the 6 chicks turned out to be cockerels. They went to a very nice animal park near my house and they look very happy. This leaves me with one Silkie x Easter pullet named Clair and a Silkie x Novagen pullet named Bianca. The chicks will be nine weeks old tomorrow.

I don't think barred rocks go broody, do they?

I know this is an older thread, but thought I'd reply anyway, My barred rock is broody and she's 9 months. She's currently sitting, eggs due to hatch in 6 days.
