My first Chickies arrived!!!

I'm so excited! They're all alive! I found them on my porch when I got home from work .
I ordered a Black Ameraucana, a Blue Cuckoo Legbar, & a Green Queen EE from My Pet Chicken. I've got them in a groovy chick tent to keep them safe. They're so soft, cute & snuggly! Pecking their chick starter & peeping enthusiastically as they run around. Hilarious! I'm so happy!

Awe!! Congratulations on aquiring your new chicks. I haven't had my quail long I was surprised at how soft, cute, cuddly and warm they are too. I love going into the coop for a wee cuddle. Enjoy your birds, I'm so happy for you.

You can give them a dish of soil or something to dust bath in properly.

They will eat some of it. It won't hurt them. If you use your own soil from wherever they'll be going when you put them outside, it'll actually help their immune systems start to get used to whatever they'll be exposed to put there - plus things like trace minerals and certain bacteria will be good for them.
