My First Chicks!!

My first Chicks arrive Tomorrow!!
We are SO excited!!! Everything is ready!
Should i turn the heat plate on tonight before bed so it's all ready & toasty for first thing in the AM, so i don't forget???
My step mother is picking them up from the post office and stopping by to drop them off.

Yes, warm up that plate. I always run a 24 hour test about a week out (I use mama heat pads) and then turn them on the night before the chicks arrive

I always turn on my MHPs when I leave to fetch the carton from the PO, but you aren't leaving, so turn them on whenever you want!

Well, enjoy your first flock! Sounds like a good mix of breeds. I’ve had a SL Wyandotte and Barred Rocks -both have been good breeds.
