Update...

Marley (Polish) is still outside with all the ladies to himself. I've noticed a couple of the chickens that were normally kept inside by Ikey (Bantam Cochin), outside with Marley and the Silkies. They seem to be less frantic and are enjoying scratching around - even with the temp only being 21 F!! Marley is kinder to his ladies and rarely bosses them around. Baloo, my Blue Silkie pullet is the head female and she follows Marley everywhere. She will also peck him bald on the head...just one of the reasons he sports a pony tail on top of his head. LOL!

Both Marley and Ikey each have an eye mostly swollen shut. Obviously black eyes. There is bruising on Marley's wattles (and the eye). Ikey is crowing again this morning and looks pretty battered up, but his spirits are back. He bit me to prove it.

Both boys are eating and drinking well and seem to be fine...as if nothing happened. But since they each have an eye swollen practically shut and they look like they were in a boxing ring yesterday, I'd say they could each use a little pampering. IE Bacitracin, ACV (thanks Chook!), maybe some electrolytes (sp?)...extra fruit & veggies... LOL!

Thanks for expertise everyone! I would be hysterical by now - almost 1 year into my chicken farmette lol - if it wasn't for everyone here!!
