My first coop and run: Build in progress

Issues:

1. My 3 silkies and 2 cochins don't know how to use the ramp. They just sit there. Is there something wrong with them? Too steep? Not enough speed bumps.
2. My roost bar is not working. I was expecting birds that could fly and ended up coming home with ones that don't. They don't go up to the roost bar.
3. Is my coop design ok? I went to see them in the dark and one of the cochins was sitting on the red seat near the roost. One was sitting inside one of the nests. The 3 silkies were huddled in a group in the center.

Any advice? Comments?

On the chicks not using the ramp, my guess would be that the rungs may be too far apart. Their legs aren't long enough to take such big steps and that may make it harder to get up and down. Is there a way to add some more rungs in, or move the existing ones closer together?

Yes. I may add some more. The Cochin's when coached (nudged) will navigate the ramps just fine. The Silkies are just way too afraid.
I will probably add some more rungs tomorrow and see if that helps.

I was thinking of getting some anti-slip adhesive used for stairs.

Is it a problem if they sleep in their nests?

Do Silkies even roost? If they can't fly how do they get up on the roost?
