My First coop build.

Very nice, looks much better than mine. Just got to go and check if that's where I left my spirit level

My only slight concern would be that chicken wire only seems to act at keeping chickens in and not predators out (learn't the hard way). My run now has welded wire as a result.

It looks very sturdy. I like the big windows.
Another vote for heavier wire.

Agreed, a rat, snake or weasel will just slip right through the wire; a determined fox or possum will shred it.

Otherwise, it looks like a super build

How long did it take you to complete? How many ladies in residence?

You all are correct. I was working on a real tight budget and I would love to put some type of hardware cloth all around it but that stuff isn't cheap by any means. I look at it everyday and think about how i can improve it and make it stonger so i can keep some of thoes varmints out. My coop is in a fenced in back yard with a 6ft fence all around my property. Every season I put down rattle snake brand sulfer all around the outside of my fence to keep the snakes out, I kno that doesn't stop the other predators from comming in.
As far as the build, it took me about 3weeks or so between working snd such. The glass I acquired was from an old fish tank I had laying around with a cracked bottom. Had to make use of it some how. i only have the two hens right now. I'm looking for about 3 more, 4 at the vey most. Thank you all for your honesty and concern. I will be sure to update every now and then

Our 6ft wood fence didn't stop the bobcat from getting our hen. I would upgrade to hardware cloth as soon as you can.

Nice coop and cute chickens. Do you have any pictures of the inside?

In my planning I have found that hardware cloth is cheaper if you get it online.
