Moving to a farm has had its challenges. But the first thing the family wanted was chickens. After a few weeks of ideas and building I finally got the coop done! Here are a few pics and any ideas or thoughts are welcome to make this thing better.
I built it in our barn with an outside run. It wasn't 100% for some of these photos. The outside is now covered along with the inside part as well.
Is this thing gonna keep out predators? So far so good.
Thanks

Looks great! I might have to do this myself as our coop is an old horse stable with dirt floor. Just my 2 cents but I think the fencing you chose has to big of openings that will allow weasels and other small predators like that to be able to get in. My aunt has chickens and only way she was able to keep weasels out (after losing 2 flocks) was putting electric fence out around her run and since the. Has not had a problem. Good Luck! I think the coop is great and you will enjoy raising the chickens more knowing you built their shelter.

Ya I think the openings are to big also, it's old cattle fencing that was left for us. At night right now we close up the outside door and secure the chickens in the coop. The goal is to let them use the whole inside area all the time. I gotta convince myself it's safe first. That outside run is only during the day right now
Thanks
