my first ducks

Found a trio of Mandarins on craiglist for $90 so I went and bought them. These are my first ducks ever so I hope they do good. I have them in an outside pen that is 12x5x6 tall they have a little shelter to get out of the wind and a chritmas tree to hide under. Anyone have any tips to raising them?

I know that they like a wooden nest box off the ground when breeding! I think they are much the same as domestic ducks, but probably appreciate more foliage and cover. Congrats........ they are a stunning little duck.

Congrats, I love Mandies! They make the cutest noises. Mine must be scared of heights cause she made her nest on our coop floor and is happily sitting on 5 eggs.

No fair, you already have eggs? Is she a first year mandie? Also, your in PA and I'm in Ohio, hopefully I'll get some eggs soon, i dont want to wait any longer haha

Yeah this is her first year. She layed 10, but I sold the first 5. Hopefully soon yours will start. My white hasn't started yet but hopefully she will soon!
