My first egg but who layed it?

Well maybe a local breed of bird layed in your nest box? I constantly have birds in my coop because of the food. its very possible a bird tried to build a nest in your coop, its just not possible for a pullet to lay a 4 months🤷‍♀️🤨

I’m pretty sure it’s 6 months

No I’m sure that pullets first lay eggs at 6 months. ( Also there’s no such thing as a fart egg😉 ) Sorry it must be one of your hens, it’s very possible for a chicken that lay one color of egg to lay a other color of egg. A pullet just can’t lay at 4 months, they haven’t matured enough. Hope that helped😄
No Im sure all my pullets started laying at 4 months all 5 batches of chicks did

You can check their vents and/or their pelvises. A laying hens vent is larger. And her pelvic bones will be farther apart

It's not impossible for 4 mo to lay. It's just unusual. High production breeds and crosses are more susceptible to early laying.

And fart or fairy eggs are a thing. That's what you call an egg with no yolk.

this is an odd story the dad was a white leghorn and the mom was buff orpington and all 9 were barred
I don’t know what to say. It is physically impossible for a chicken to lay an egg at four months. I mean maybe towards five months they might lay but 14 1/2 weeks is the absolute minimum age for the earliest laying breeds.
