Is it exciting!!!

The first ever egg my hens laid I took it in the house woke up my wife and fried it up. We split it.

I still get excited like today when one of my new EE laid her first egg.

After she laid it She just stood there for a long time and just kept looking underneath her as if to say I'm a MAMA!! Chickens are the best animals in the world. No mater if you raise them just for enjoyment, eggs or even the meat. Wonderful, wonderful birds.

It is a light brown so I'm thinking it came from my americauna because leghons lay white!! Doesn't much matter to me. But I'm glade they didn't eat it!!!
