My first egg from my accidental chicken!!!

My girl had her first egg today. I just found out they were girls and I only had to wait a week or so and this little miracle happens. The egg itself is a light tan color and very petit. Do eggs get bigger after a while? I am so excited.......much more so than all my friends that I woke up this morning with the news. I just had to share

It's always so egg-citing getting that first egg. ) And yes, the eggs wil get bigger over the next few weeks as the pullet matures. Thanks to all for sharing my eggcitement. I was just reading a chicken treat thread and someone posted that they had given their chickens leftover scrambled eggs as a treat. That's what I want......to be able to have leftover eggs. Imagine having so many eggs you can throw out the eggcess.
