My First Egg Is A Bust

So I got my first egg today. Found it broken on the coop floor. Apparently the hen "laid" the egg from an above roost, falling to the floor and breaking. Not really disappointed. I know that there will soon be many more to come!

Mine did almost the same thing, she was too big for the nesting box (she's a broiler chicken) so she just laid in on the coop floor, it had a small crack on it but we ate it anyway!

My Wyandotte is doing that but she's molting also, but my straw bedding absorbs the impact from her dropping it from the roost. Here's the condition of it.
The egg was from this morning.

Well, the eggs have started. Got four today. And every day I am getting a double yolker.
