Okay so Im really new here. How long does it take from chick to mature egg laying machine.

YAY, I am getting 4-6 eggs per day now, and finally got the egg I have been hoping for...a really BLUE one!! DH took it out of the coop this morning

!! We have been getting green and turquoise, but that coveted bright blue finally arrived.....now if I could just figure out which of my girls laid that pretty egg, i would be happier

On average they will start laying between 5-6 months old!!!
