My first ever chick hatched! On day 24

Update. Mama hen abandoned the other eggs. Won't stay on them, even the pipping ones, and is brooding Pickle on the other end of the box. A local chicken friend (who raised my rooster) advised to bring them inside. The eggs are in a box with a hot water bottle, nestled in a wollen hat. I have dampened a piece of cloth which is between the bottle and hat. Babies still peeping.

So after a stressful hour and a half I managed to find a solution. I dug out and cleaned an old cage, set up a little box with the eggs, brought mama and pickle in, and added their food and water. Mama is now sitting on her eggs, which are still peeping. She got stressed when I brought in the peeping eggs, they hadn't been peeping outside when I took them so I think she thought they were dead.

Its probably for the best to bring her inside for tonight at least. There is a storm brewing and its starting to get very wet and cold outside even at 3pm in spring.
