Is the brooder one of those collapsing dog kennels? That's what I just put my older juvie marans into. That thing works slick! I lined mine with cardboard too because it keeps the shavings roughly where the shavings are supposed to be. Ha!

Thanks for posting those pic's. I have one of those dog crates but I was not going to use it & now I see how you have yours & YOU just saved me money! Now I do not have to go out & buy something. Hunny will be happy saving moolaa!

I noticed this morning one of the chicks has a area (tail feather area) that the other ones take a "peck" at everytime they get a chance. It has become a small red spot (blood) real smal like it just started.

Anyone got any idea on what I need to do to stop this?
