my first ever hatch!! *pic*

I've got a chick! The incubation was a nightmare, 2 massive temp spikes (incubator was faulty), 4/6 eggs killed,sudden rush to knock an incubator together quickly, I was reallu doubting how the two remaining eggs could possibly hatch. It's bren a long 18 hours pretty much glued to the fishtank/bator but here he is!!

not the clearest of pics through the glass, but he's beautiful, a blue type colour. Fingers crossed for the other one!!

He's (I say he, I haven't the foggiest lol) a pekin bantam. I'm absolutely in love!!

He's fluffing up now, I think he might be lavender! He's definitely a blue colour, seems to be lightening as he dries (to be expected I suppose lol) though I don't know how the colours change as they get their feathers in?
