Check out what Alexia gave me today! It's in the pic between a normal Trixie and a normal Haley. Alexia's laying has been off lately; was she just clearing the pipes?

I read here that fart eggs are yolkless, and the darn thing is so tiny I believe it. That said, I daren't open it before my step daughters are here to witness it, so I'll have to wait until Thursday...

We just got our first fart egg last week.......haven't giggled like that since I pulled out the first egg in July! Congrats!

I have quails, and thats what their eggs look like, they do have a yolk and they are yummy..
Seems funny that she could even make an egg that small.
I also have bantams and their eggs are small, but not that small.

Not all fart eggs are yolkless.

We had one of those little eggs. We took a pic of it between two normal ones just as you have done. My 10 yr old grandson said, "Mamaw, it's probably her first egg. Give her a break."

We got the opposite. One of our chickens laid a ginormous one, almost 2x bigger than normal ones. Wish I'd been home to hear the song with that one!
