i got one of those little eggs from my Shim. if i remember correctly, it was the 3rd or 4th egg she ever laid (her second was a double-yolk). she actually laid it in my rocking chair. she usually only lays in her eggloo (a converted cat liter box that looks like an igloo). i put the egg in a small jar with alchol. it preserves just fine. i found that out when i wanted to know how to preserve my baby scorpions that died. my vet said alchol preserves without ruining the DNA for future use (not that i would have the need).
