MY First Green/blue Egg!!

My first green/blue egg. I've heard everyone say that it can take up to 12 months before an EE will start laying, but I got one today and they are only 5 months old and in winter no less. It has to be Dottie she is the only 1 of the 2 that has been squatting and letting the Rooster have his way.
It was a peewee at only 1.3 oz, but its nicely formed and solid shelled.

A picture is always good! I was SO thrilled when I got my first egg from one of my EEs. Now I'm waiting on blue eggs from my 3 araucanas . . . any day now. Congratulations!

All of my EEs were laying by 18 weeks. More than a year later they are still my best layers. And I still LOVE seeing those pretty blue eggs in the nest. Congrats!
