Lol! I almost canceled our vacation this year all together for the sake of hatching! I then suggested that we stay at the resort about 5 miles from my house. I played up all the activities and the fact that we have never explored our area from a tourist point of view. We have civil war battlefields and such all around us that we have never visited. We see tourists there every day we leave our house and just drive by. Shhhhh don't tell hubby but I really could care less. I just wanna be close so I can sneak home once a day to check on the incubator. Lol...I do believe I am officially hooked on the whole hatching thing.... if I didn't have a vacation planned, I would have another batch already in the Hova-Bator. I hand turned and I'm checking at the feed store tonight to see if they have the auto turner for it. This way I can set before I leave! (DH will have kittens!)
Lol... My husband does not now about the 18 hatching eggs that should arrive tomorrow!I can't cancell. We are going with a family group and everything is already arranged and paid for!
He already calls the new place I found for us CCL Farm. (Crazy Chicken Lady Farm)
He is the most wonderful, caring, patient man but I do believe he wouldn't go for a vacation cancellation for chickens.
(Besides, I have ordered chicks from the feed store to be picked up just after we get home, so it will be like they were getting ready to hatch just for us anyway.) psssss.... he doesn't know about the chick order, I havn't told him yet. he thinks the 15 babies and 7 big girls is quite enough!
Hey, rvgchicks... how did your hatch go?
