Nothing yet this morning! 20 days are almost complete, so hopefully I will see something soon. I'm getting very paranoid!!! I'm wondering if something went wrong. My temps and humidity were all over the place during the entire process. Out of 14 eggs, including twins, all were alive and moving at lockdown, so I'm hoping atleast a few will hatch. I have read that they can take longer than the 21 days, especially if the temp was a little low. So, I'm keeping my fingers crossed and saying lots of prayers.

Aww, prayers that your little ones hatch soon. I've read that they can take a little longer also. Please keep us updated!

I have a silkie that is broody, I will give her three large fowl eggs today, hatch day will be January 3. coldest week of the year here in MO, USA

Congratulations to all !!!!

Thank you!! One egg is wiggling around a little now. I started making some chirping noises and #17 started up right away!! I'm hoping that is a good sign!
If you go to youtube and search 'Chicks chirping' you'll find some videos that you can play for them (if you are close enought to the bator) and you'll really see him moving then...lol Keeping my fingers crossed for you. Hope you get lots of little ones!

Aww, can't wait to see babies. I'm sure mommy silkie will keep them warm.

These babies are so much fun!!!! haha can't believe it, I keep playing with them.
They've learned to scratch for food, they learned to eat mealworms. They learned to eat grass (actually alfalfa sprouts). I tried to teach them to stay away from cats, I don't know if they understand that yet..

I named them in the order they hatched.

Here is Six. He is the smallest one and cries all the time also. I hope he doesn't have colics lol.

Here are Five and Three with mommy! I might keep Three. If I sexed correctly it's a girl and the black hen is the first I bought and also the nicest and most intelligent (she eats bug in my garden, I love that). So I will keep baby Three :)

Here is the whole gang. From top to bottom: Five, Four, One, Six, Three, Two.

And here they are with me, my warm pijama and a movie:

Here is the coop and some hens - not the mothers - in the snow:

Warm jammies and a movie, I love it, lol!!! That snow picture just makes me cold. I'm freezing down here in Florida and the weather is in the 40's. I can't imagine being in your weather!!

Oh it's not cold! When it's snows it is rarely very cold. We stand around -5, -1C these days (so around 23-30F).
I prefer snow and -2 than rain all the time and +3 hehe. Seems like snow makes it all better, I hate the autumn rainy, humid days.
I don't think my chickens agree though. They are afraid of snow. At first they were OK when we had just one inch. Now that they cannot see the grass anymore, they seem to hate going out! lol
