My First Hatch!

Whoops, last post was supposed to be yesterday.
Today the air cells are looking bigger and all chicks (except swirl) seem likely to hatch. Lots of movement on most.

Is this normal or did they give up on the home stretch?

These air cells are MASSIVE compared to mine :O

But mine are moving and busy during lockdown so this will be interesting to see the difference.

Mine have been pretty active until this last candling, hopefully that's a good sign

Second pip! This one on Heart, and I thought I heard a chirp?

Where will the pips show up?

Is it anywhere on the egg or on the 'fat' side? I want to know where to look haha

They are supposed to pip at the fat end into the air cell, but sometimes they don't, so a pip can be anywhere.

Good luck with your hatch! I had to physically leave the house to stop staring at the incubator when mine were pipping.

I'm lucky my spouse is asleep in the only room with access to the incubator, don't want to wake him.

Glad to hear this, I wasn't sure where it's supposed to happen either.
