My First HAtch!!!

Yea!! Our first hatch day 22, they started to get little cracks yesterday, I was so Excited I could not sleep kept checking all night, then finally this morning around 630-7 am the first baby silkie pop out ! I could not belive it. I only have 6 out of 7 eggs left in the bator. 3 more are chipping away at the egg shell I can't wait to see them. Ohh yea the are Silkies, Jus tlove the little buggers. Have eggs set for Chrismas too! 45 of them. well I just wanted to share. I don't know how to up load pic's so i can't put any on here!

Congratulations!!!!! I have silkies to hatch around Christmas!! My others are set to hatch this coming weekend!!!

Thanks Guys, It so exciting to me, since I have never hatched before, I could not sleep lastnight kept getting up, and pressing my face up to that plastic little window looking in!! Felt like Christmas morning when I was a kid!! LOL

Wonderful! Congrats! I just went through this myself.....Pips....trouble sleeping....I started out with 19 eggs in the incubator. Candled just before lockdown, four infertile eggs......So down to 15.......I ended up with 12 chicks, which is my best hatch ever! Three Polish bantam chicks, and the rest were bantam Cochins.....

What is your final count?
