I first got chickens a little under a year ago. I have 3 female Black Sex Links and one Barred Plymouth Rock rooster. I have officially fell in love with chickens. So I decided I would hatch some of my own. I gathered 21 eggs from my chickens. Then started incubating in a still air little giant incubator. They just hatched on the 21'st of this month. 13 survivors with 2 casualties one to a dog and the other... Just kind of stopped breathing. The rest of them were either not fertile or died in the first 7 days of incubation .All but 3 I had to help hatch. They got vaccume sealed in their eggs. A little bloody, but all of them are doing good. One of the most interesting experiences I have ever had. P. S my stupid phone posted this before I wanted to, so sorry about typos and lack of more story. Also, not sure if I submitted this to the proper thread. So if I did then I apologize. I'm a bit new here /:

Congrats on the babies so cute. Im on my first ever incubator set too. Lockdown tomorrow and im SOOO nervous.

So I love reading these threads especially from first timers like myself. My shells can be quite hard so I hope they break through ok. Ive 7 eggs alive.. but ones abit iffy due to odd airsac.

Well done again theyre beautiful. I also only got my first chickens exactly a year ago.

. Glad to hear : D just don't make the same mistake I did. And don't open the incubator while they hatch lol. Endless of course you want all the humidity to run out.
