my first incubating experience- Update- candling report

Today I set my first eggs. 11 speckled sussex, 2 salmon faverolle/ameraucana cross, and 1 salmon faverolle/new hampshire red cross. We are so excited! I can't wait for these new chicks. We will keep you posted on the progress.

Good luck. I'm staying up watching mine hatch right now. This is my first time too. I have silkie frizzle polish brahma BO dominique mixes. I want to hatch all the time. This is so cool. I watched one hatch. So amazing. I am gonna have to go to bed and hope the rest wait on me. I have 2 chicks and 5 pips so far out of 13 eggs.

Ok, I candled last night (night of the 6th day) and out of 15 eggs, 14 definitely showed veins and one was undetermined but since the other two eggs out of that hen showed veins, I left it. I must be doing something right. It's going to be a long two weeks til these hatch!
