My First Incubation Experience (with baby pictures)

How exciting. They are adorable, and I hope you can post update pics as they grow. It would be fun to see the progression. Congratulations!

Absolutely. I can already recognize some of them as soon as I walk up to the brooder. Funny, the first 2 are inseparable. The second follows the first everywhere it goes. Its like its shadow!

I’m very surprised at how many hatched 16 out of 18 right? If im correct that is impressive. They are a good looking bunch of fluffy butts and I am glad I could help you really. Im here anytime just ask. If I don’t know im sure I can point you to someone that does.

Indeed. There were originally 22, but 3 were clears and 1 quit early after the new silicone fan cover slipped off and landed on it (my fault for not securing it better) But 18 made it to lockdown, and one of those looked to have quit earlier as well. I'm very happy with the results. And I am very very happy to have been able to reach out for help, advice and guidance.

Sounds like the second imprinted on the first one. It's good they had each other.:jumpy Single chicks can be needy and unhappy.

Most likely, they were the only 2 in the brooder together for a few days. Plus as soon as number 2 hatched I put the first one up next to the incubator so they could see each other lol
