"Sebbies" (nickname) are Sebastopol Geese
and I've been breeding them since 2005.
I think some bloodlines are less fertile than others
but the last 2 years many breeders across the nation
have had poor hatches from everything from pigeons to geese.
Causes undetermined.
I use both incubators and setting hens to hatch them out.
There have been some stories showing a tie between fertility issues and gmo corn and soy. Of course, all commercial poultry feed, unless you are buying organic, I loaded with gmos.

Yes I'm with you on this! I do feel its a major possibility but organic feed is expensive!
tbit...my geese waller in the mud by their pools sometimes too but usually they stay clean.
Sorry nothing for sale at this time.
I will however probably have a few 2011 youngsters for sale this fall but I don't have a
waiting list or take deposits for fall sales so you just need to watch my sales page for updates
if you're interested. As for 2012 day old goslings make sure no matter who you buy from to get
you order in early since most breeders book up fast for day olds.
In the mean time you might be able to find Sebs on ebay or online livestock auctions.
BYC has a sale forum too.
Good luck...I hope you can find some!
I was so excited for them to hatch too. They were moving and one internally pipped and was tapping on the shell.
What a crappy year! At least my gals are having an "eggstended" laying season. They started at the end of February and are still laying. Granted, I'm only getting 1-2 eggs a day now, but I can continue to set them and they all seem to be developing.
