My first pigeon!

I would like to get some pigeons how do I go about finding a breeder? Where did you get yours?

Do you have any flea markets in your area? Thats where I got my first pigeon, then as Hokum said, I searched craigslist and found a dude selling some.

we definately need someone with the resources to make protective pigeon armor, like out of cheap light weight aluminum can type material plating or patches. anyone else thought of, as ive seen pigeons used to transport a lot of stuff and of decent weight, that they dont seem to get taken wearing (except one that alerted prison guards to contraband transport smuggling into prisons). or do i just have way to much time and imagination??? or tiny harness that would disperse something if hit it..

LOL that would be pretty cool seeing a pigeon flying around in a suit of armor, of course the shinning of the aluminum might actually attract the BOP, which would not be good... lol

I had the idea of painting big eyes on the pigeons wings.

You see butterflies with shapes of eyes on their wings and that to scare off predators.. so they look like a huge face.. and the predator thinks its a big animal.

Perhaps we can paint a big eye spot on each wing, top and bottom.. and the hawks will be startles and the pigeon can have a chance to escape.

I have seen coloured pigeons too. Maybe hawks would not recognise them as prey?
