My first pip in new Suro20 (My first baby) New Video

Hi JD,

How many eggs are you hatching in the Suro? Mine is chock full of B-Ameracauns right now - 24 - too many to hatch in it I think, so am using my HovaBator as a hatcher for my 12 B-Wellies. Have been wondering how the Suro would work day 1 thru' 21, so will be watching with interest. So far I love the Suro. One thing I see, pix thru' the glass are much better!

I had only put six banty white, buff and mille fleur to test it. I'm sure they're all mutts but so far 3 out of 5 have the feather feet. The six'th egg has not pipped yet. I had 2 pair of each and the buff black tail was the prominate rooster. They will be seaparated this spring.Anyway I'm real proud of how the suro20 has done through the whole hatch. Kept temps and humidity real steady. If I open it when I removed the chicks I's spritz it one time and it didn't take no more than a second to regain the temps and humidity. I do think the egg carton takes up to much room tho, but it still worked out. I've got a real cute video of the chicks getting their first drink of water I'm going to try to upload. That pic through the glass is my brooder which is an aquarium.

Oh so cute! Thanks for sharing your hatch. Just loaded my King Suro last night. So excited to see your success. I also see I'm not the only one using something other than the plastic dividers.

I thought they were horrible especially with those small banty eggs. When I tried to use them had to put the squeeze on them and they still wanted to fall over so I took them out 1st candeling and put them in an egg carton.

It was difficult to hold my polish eggs up so I cut up one of my egg trays from my cabinet incubator. Holds exactly 20. The batch I put in last night are staying perfectly upright.

I'm sorry lol, I should have made myself more clear. I was asking about that egg tray. I got your email and replied back Madcap621. I got my bator also at the $249 price thru jmtdistributors, is that where you got yours?
