My first Quail Hatch!

Congrats!! What day are u on?? And put pictures of the little ones please... I'm on day 16 and the suspense is killing me. I keep thinking of worst case scenarios lol

So just went to check on the babies and it seems we have the first little pip!! How am I gonna sleep now??? LOL

Well, bad news for mine. It unzipped, but never cleared the shell before I went to bed. When I got up this morning for work, there was no sound or movement. I prodded it a little to induce movement and the fat end of the egg fell off to reveal a perfectly formed dead quail chick.
I have no clue what went wrong. So far out of 80 eggs, a bunch have pipped, that was the only one to try to unzip. I still see some of them moving, but am very worried. Today will make day 24.
I have only opened it once since lockdown, this morning to remove the little guy.

Tentative good news... We have the first little guy!!! Hatched so fast I missed it. Didn't even see it pip... He's now bouncing around like a maniac lol. The cutest thing to see!!!

thank u! will do... but a quick question... I've read somewhere that someone hatched quail and "starved" them... Am i supposed to put food in the incubator? I only read once that they are not like chicks and dont have enough nutrients to last the 3 days in there... My research got me very different answers... the consensus seemed to be no but now I am not sure
