I’m happy for you and your ducks! This June I hatched out 20 runners and they are my 4th generation on the farm. I’m still waiting for their first eggs, but it shouldn’t be too long away now, maybe in the next week or two .

Yeah, runners are great for eggs and garden pest control, although they are not the best for meat. I’ve had runners for over 4 years now, but I purchased some saxony ducks from Metzer Farms recently and they should arrive next week. Hopefully they all arrive healthy and happy.

I love my Runners they are such fun ducks. Always so busy and have so much fun. On one side I have my Muscovy who are laid back and quiet and on the other is my Runners and Buffs who are all over the place and happy doing it. Couldn't ask for more.
