And thanks for sharing your "happy ending" story, Sheridangirl. Gave me some hope last night.

I was SO happy this morning to see my girl pop off the roost and head right to the feeder!! She had a GREAT appetite this AM...not surprising as she hasn't eaten much in a couple of days

She seems much better....now just keeping fingers crossed that if another egg comes out of her, it's normal!!

I can hardly believe it, but my girl laid an egg yesterday!!! The shell was pretty thin, but it held together. Makes me think this whole thing may have been a dietary issue. She's also been the main culprit of picking out and eating the feathers of some of my other birds. I'm making a point of seeing that she gets some extra protein every day now and trying to make sure she actually EATS the oyster shell I have for them free choice. Interesting how everyone else's shells are VERY hard...they all have access to the same stuff. I guess it's like people...they're all individuals
