My Chicks
Went out today after work and bought my first set of chicks. Americauna (easter eggers).
Ran into a small problem early on but took care of it and now I will have keep an eye on them.
They had a bit of "Muck Butt" or "Poopy Butt" but a little bit of warm water and getting in and getting my hands dirty...(My wife's hands because she has the long finger nails, but don't tell her im going to take credit for it. haha j.k)
The 6 little gals are doing good. They said they are all hens at the local feed store but I have a hunch that the Yellow one in the center is a Ro.
After reading on here about everyone's success with sand that's the route we decided to take and the chicks love it. They are now in a Temporary Brooder (Cardboard box).
Can't wait to hear what you have to say.
