Okay, got my first chicks, 3 days old, yesterday. Also ended up getting my first adult silkies too after the chicks arrived.
I just set up everything for my chicks (a friend gave them to me), including the two white silkies, when my hubby calls and asks if I still want some silkes. I'm trying to get lavenders. He didn't know about the chicks yet.
Seems a customer of his, hubby is a mail carrier, had 6 adult silkies he needed to get rid of. His son wanted them gone so he tells my hubby if we want any of them to come by and get them, 6 roos, 1 hen. He just wants them gone. So, he's trying to describe one of the roos, and all I can think of is it may be it's a splash. I told him absolutely. We went over later that evening and this is what I came home with.
I'm keeping the black hen and the Cuckoo rooster. I'm housing the black and white roos for a friend until she can make room for them.
