My first Silkies!

I got my first silkies today...Just hopped on craigslist and there they were, just calling my name I only meant to get 3 of them, but we didn't have change, so we ended up buying 6

. Figure that might work better anyways since I'm not sure how many are going to be hens. They are about 2 months.

I'm thinking about trying to breed to my frizzles? I have black frizzle roo and gold colored? hen. Wondering what the frizzle hen and a black silkie would produce... oh well, I have a while before they are read, but guess i can start thinking about it now

I have 2 buff 2 week olds and they are in that fugly stage right now! I am waiting for them to morph into beautious Silkies.

Hey i should be getting my first silkies as chicks out of the eggs my light sussex is sittnig on, i have a question though.

Will i know the colour ( black, brown or white) straight away when they come out of the egg or will i have to wait for them to grow a little?
