My First Time Incubating!

I have a incubator that holds 7 eggs (I know uneven number). I have 6 polish eggs which I am hoping to show and have one serama egg! Please leave comments and advice down below!

I just incubated some chicken eggs and four chicks hatched it was the best to see the chick come out of the egg is it a still air incubator I candled on day seven day 14 and then the last day you can open the incubator before lock down good luck with your hatch

Thank you! What breed did you hatch and how many eggs did you put in?

i dont knw what breed my rooster is but he is black and white and they are mixed with rhode island red and my rooster is a bantam i put 8 eggs in there two were unfertile and i dropped one and then four hatched and one died hatching but i think i did pretty for my first time hatching good luck with your hatch

I don’t think I will be able to take pictures in a few days when I candle the eggs but I will inform you how many are fertile and developing!

Learning center: Hatching Eggs 101. Read the whole thing, then go back and read it again. Don't plug your bator in till you've read it.

Calibrate your thermometers. Until you've calibrated your thermometers, they are lying to you! You can't believe a word they say! I calibrate using a good medical grade thermometer, to 100*F in a cup of water.

Then, run your bator without eggs for a few days with a few sealed water bottles to see how well it holds temp. Check for warm, cool spots.

After all this, THEN, you are ready to incubate those eggs.

I dropped one this time too. I kid you not, it was right after I rolled my eyes at someone's post that said, "be careful, it's easy to drop eggs". UGG
