What incubator do you have?

Honestly ibhave followed everything I have read, then yesterday my power went out overnite and my incubator was off for 8 hours, eggs were all cold and I was devastated! After power came on and temp was back up I candles that night and I only lost 2 out of 35 eggs! Unreal! So I am starting to believe it's not as much of an exact science as I have read! Good luck!!

Hi :welcome

Hope you have a good hatch. Lower temps during incubation are not as drastic as too higher temps. Even though your incubator was off for eight hours it would have taken a lot longer for the eggs to become stone cold. The embryo holds and produces some heat for itself within the egg. Especially towards the end of incubation.
Good luck and hope you enjoy BYC :frow

We borrowed a friends incubator.
