My First Time Incubating!!!!!

I'm the opposite way I leave mine in till the hatch is over or the bator looks full. They would give me the guilt trip screaming in the brooder. The chirping encourages the others to get a move on with the hatch. Everyone is different though in the methods they use :highfive:

Thank You! I will probably leave mine in, I would be afraid of hurting unhatched eggs.

I can't wait to see these little chickies! They are mixed breed, so I have no idea what they will look like.

That makes it more fun not knowing what you are going to get, adds to the surprise :clap

Here is my last hatch. I had one egg left to hatch it had pipped but it was a large breed egg where as the others were bantam and had all hatched earlier. I removed them because it looked full some had been in there for more than 24 hours. The final egg hatched about 8 hours later.

Congrats! I'd be right there next to the incubator no matter how long it took for them to hatch. This makes me want to incubate but without an incubator... it's quite impossible lol. Maybe for Christmas I'll get one. Good luck with them!

I agree!I love surprises...
Oh, those chicks are so cute! I will probably sleep in the sewing room tonight... and wake up frequently to check on them. 9:30 here marks 8 hours since the first pip. Day 21 tomorrow! Also, I'm very eager to see more pips... I am so impatient.
