my first year rasing broilers for show

This is the first year raising meat birds. I got to pick 3 showable birds out of a batch of 50. I started with 25 but my Agriculture teacher told me if I wanted an additional 25 birds. Hopefully I make auction at the stockshow

Welcome to BYC! I just finished a stock show and luckily made auction.

I started out with 25 chicken (broilers), they were in a 8 ft by 7 ft pen (made of plywood). I feed them the highest percent feed possible (26- 30%) along with a wet feed mash (1-2 weeks of age) buttermilk feed mash (3-4 weeks of age) and then fermented feed till show (7 weeks of age). that got them big breasts meat but i havent figured out how to get round out the keel bone. We went through 75lb of feed a week. and NEVER LET THEM RUN OUT OF FEED!
