My First Zuccini this year

What a lovely, healthy-looking plant. When your little zucchini is ready, I'm sure it will be delicious. We've been enjoying ours. Yummy!

My brother told me yesterday that grilled zuccini is better than grilled steak. I never thought I'd hear him say anything like that!

Wow. I'm glad somebody can still grow them. We had to give them up. The squash bugs have become ridiculous here in the past 10-15 years. I'm going to have to build a mini-greenhouse to get any home-grown zucchini from now on....

The super-bugs are on the prowl where I live.

Wow! Mine are not as far along as yours but I do have nice plants this year!! I love Zuchinni! I add it to my pasta sauces and lots of other stuff too!! My boys are waiting for chocolate chip zuchinni bread!

Try slicing it in half, baking covered at 350 for about 15-20 minutes and filling it like you would a taco (beans, meat, seasonings, cheese) Very, very yummy!

The spring in Seattle was so terrible that most of my seeds didn't germinate. I'm so jealous of that squash! Mine is a l-o-n-g way off from producing anything. Here I am, hoping for veggies in August!!

We got our first two zuccini off yesterday.. Love zuccini here, anyway you want to fix it (fried, grilled,baked, zuxxini crab cakes, and zuccini bread) Mmm good!
