    My Flock Block Recipe

I decided I would throw some stuff together and see what I came up with. I was scared it would burn (it did a little) but I ended up adding stuff to it and getting it to work right. So here it is. Hope your chickens enjoy.

    INGREDIENTS:

    2 Cups Oatmeal
2 Cups Pennington Ultra Nut And Fruit Seed
    1 Cup Scratch Feed
    1 Cup Molasses
    3 Eggs

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Mix all of the above ingredients together and put into a greased pan or meatloaf pan (like I did). Push down to make it firm. Place in the oven and time it for 40 Minutes. After it is done, check to see if it feels nice and firm; almost rubbery. Allow to cool and then pop out of the pan and let them enjoy!!

    [IMG] Arent they pretty seeds?

[IMG] Added Molasses. Add eggs as well!

    [IMG] Mix together well.

[IMG] Didnt turn out as pretty as I thought it would be. Guess this is what happens on your first try. lol

Ok, thanks. I was asking because we had made similar treats for hamsters that used honey and a little flour. Your recipe looks good!

I guess use it all within limit. Ive heard its a mild laxative on chickens and stuff but also heard its healthy for them. Who knows lol. I use it though
