Wow! Shiny, and new. No worries, time and the girls will take the glean off it. (You may want to put an angled top above your nest boxes to prevent roosting up there and subsequence buildup)

That was the original plan but they like to roost there instead of the actual roost, so I simply take a snow shovel, scrape it off-there is small space behind the boxes-and scoop it into the wheelbarrow. A little extra work but what the hey. I wonder if larger birds like the feel of a wider platform? A little extra support for those big feet?
